US Reserves Tie Guatemala 0-0

Last night a squad made up primarily of MLS players tied Guatemala 0-0 in a qualifier played in Guatemala City. Only two of the starters do not play in the MLS, the US started a side missing their key stars in a match they didn't need to win.

Having already qualified for Germany with their victory last week over Mexico, Coach Arena used the match as a chance to see complete his roster for next summers Cup. Many were making their first start or appearance in a World Cup qualifier. SPU Alum, Marcus Hahnemann got the shut out for the US, making a couple of great saves.

Mexico defeated Panama 5-0 last night and booked their trip to Germany as well.
